Kenneth Portera EA, ATP has been preparing taxes for over 30 years and is the founder and owner/operator of Kenneth Portera & Associates LLC a year-round tax preparation and accounting firm which he started in 2009. His practice provides tax controversy representation, tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, non-profits and gift tax filings. Prior to going off on his own he held positions of CEO, CFO, Treasurer, and Controller for various financial service companies. He holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from Pace University and completed some specialized graduate courses from The New School a NYC University. Ken taught as an adjunct for 13 years in the New York City University system as part of the accounting and finance department and has held positions on the Board of the New Jersey Chapter of the NATP and is a past director of the NJSEA.
